Amanda joined AFP in 2016 and supports both the monitoring & evaluation and communication teams. Previously, Amanda served as the Repositioning Family Planning intern with the Global Health Fellows Program II working with USAID’s Office of Population and Reproductive Health on strategies to strengthen global leadership, mobilize resources, and elevate the role of family planning in the development sector. Prior to her graduate work, Amanda spent time working with a non-governmental organization in Nicaragua on community health initiatives to improve the health of women and children in eleven rural communities. Amanda is a 2016 Delta Omega honorary society in public health inductee from the Gamma Sigma chapter. She holds both a B.S. with honors in chemistry and biochemistry from Purdue University as well as a Masters in Public Health with a specialization in global health from Washington University in St. Louis.
